I have mentioned this several times in two different posts, most recently “Search 2.0” which has supposedly already been implemented. However, there is a very obvious search feature that has been ignored. We need to be able to search by category.
I would like to be able to search for all tasks that are under a certain category. To use my example from the previously referenced post, if I have a category called “Home” and add a task called “Rake leaves at home” the search feature will find it, because it has the word “home” in the task name. However, if the task is “Rake leaves” and it is entered with the category “Home” the search feature will not find the task. We should be able to search for all tasks (or anything else such as calendar items) by category.
