I would like more keyboard shortcuts, especially when adding tasks to lists.
At present, you have to use the new task icon. Then type the text in, find the ‘close the window’ button, and find the new task icon again. This is not very userfriendly.
You want to make adding tasks to your planner as easy as possible so that people use it more and recommend it to others highlighting it’s ease of use.

command+N wil open a new task pane now, but only in Daily Tasks, not in Master Tasks. It would definitely be optimal to have that work in Master Tasks, and to have another shortcut to close the pane in either view.

I checked it, I believe it only works while you have something selected on the list, it works both in daily and master tasks, we’ll add it also if you are in the add task text field as well. For both Daily and Master tasks.

That would be great, thanks! Can you add the shortcut to close the new-task panel as well?

Hi David, have you tried the Escape key? Let me know if it doesnt work or if you have any suggestions on which key to use to close the task card.

Hi Jose,
Esc works! Thanks! I never would have thought of that, though (“Escape” to me seems like it would cancel the input). My instinct was to assume that Return / Enter (or maybe CMD+Return/Enter), which seem to me like more natural “enter this” shortcuts, would complete the input and close the card.

Hi David, we’ll see if we can add cmd+w in a few weeks. Thanks for the feedback!
The more shortcuts, the better. When doing a lot of planning, using the mouse takes a lot more time. Being able to use keyboard shortcuts will greatly increase efficiency and productivity.
