While I appreciate the ode to the old school Franklin Covey day planners, I think the tabs get a little cumbersome. Especially on the Mac OS, there is no reason that users shouldn’t be able to move the windows and create a custom view based on each one’s desires. I think the UI looking the way it does make the App look old and antiquated, when it is actually a very good system.
I do like the paper planner concept. However, I think the UI needs work. Tools and buttons should all be consistently in same place. Give us tools and dropdowns all located in ONE place and the “cards” should follow the same layout. I’ve been trying to use Opus since I first downloaded Opus Domine and this version is getting really interesting. Please consider tightening up the UI. I’ve given up on Craft, Goodnotes, Notability and a couple others because they are too complicated, perhaps even too ambitious. To profit, a planner has to be used consistently, and perhaps these changes would be beneficial to all us enthusiastic “opuses”!
